Knickerbocker law firm was established in 1969 by V.F. Knickerbocker, providing legal services to the citizens of Maverick, Dimmit, and Zavala counties.
The firm concentrates on representing individuals in motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, products liability and oil field accidents.

Claudio Heredia received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio (B.A. 1978), and his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin (J.D. 1981). He has been actively engaged in the practice of law for over 30 years with the Knickerbocker Law Firm.
Mr. Heredia is a member of American Association for Justice, Texas Trial Lawyers Association (Associate Director 1988-89), American Bar Association, Maverick County Bar Association (Secretary 1985-86), National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a member of Delta Theta Phi Fraternity.
He is licensed by the U.S. District Court, Western District of Texas.
Marco A. Salinas
Marco A. Salinas received his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin (B.A., 1991; J.D., 1995). Mr. Salinas was admitted to the Texas bar in 1995.
Mr. Salinas is a member of Maverick County Bar Association, National Hispanic Bar Association, and Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
Rolando Salinas, Jr.
Rolando Salinas Jr. received his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University (B.A. 2006), and his law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law (J.D., 2010). Mr. Salinas was admitted to the Texas bar in 2010.
Mr. Salinas is a member of American Bar Association and Maverick County Bar Association.
Ana Sophia Berain
Ana Sophia Berain received her undergraduate degree from Texas State University (B.S. 2011), and her law degree from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law (J.D. 2015). She became a licensed attorney is Texas in 2016.
Ms. Berain is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Bar Association and the Maverick County Bar Association.
Eugene D. Stewart (Retired)
Eugene D. Stewart received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering with highest honors and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin (B.S., 1971; J.D., 1975), Mr. Stewart was admitted to the Texas bar in 1976. He has practiced with Knickerbocker Law Firm for over 20 years.
Mr. Stewart is a member of Maverick County Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi fraternity, 365th Judicial District Judge 1989-90, and the Texas Bar Foundation.
